JVK

JVK (born 1969, Poznań, Poland) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work encompasses painting, caricature, and numerous series in the Expressionist style.

JVK's art explores a wide range of themes – from expressionism, which depicts the intensity of feelings and emotions, through humorous and intelligent caricatures, to minimalist black-and-white graphics and modern forms inspired by neon lines. His works constitute a unique emotional record that the viewer can interpret in both painting and printmaking.

The artist has created, among others, the “Bear Aquarelle” cycle and the “PapaBear” series, which combine the lightness of watercolour with the expressiveness of colour and light. At the same time, these works are a special tribute to the LGBTQ community – but not exclusively. They are presented with a sense of humour, playfulness, and lightness, especially in their adaptation onto T-shirts and artistic apparel. This fusion of art and fashion allows JVK’s work to accompany audiences in everyday life while preserving its artistic essence.

In his work, the artist combines traditional painting techniques with the latest software solutions and digital technologies, allowing him to expand the boundaries of his imagination and discover new facets of art.

JVK lives and works in Poznań.
